To the AYSO soccer community, the SCV Showdown Tournament Committee would like to thank those of you that have planned to join us this April. However with the recent world events and recommendations of both medical experts and the AYSO leadership it has been determined for the safety and health of our volunteers and participants that we cancel this year’s tournament. For those teams that have already submitted your tournament packet along with payment, please note that NO checks have been deposited. Members of the tournament committee will be working over the course of the next couple of weeks to return checks to your Regions mailing address for your records.
Again we thank you for your continued support of the SCV Showdown and are disappointed that we will not be able to hold this year’s tournament. We believe this is the best course of action to keep our entire AYSO family healthy and safe. We hope to see you in the Spring 2021!

About The Showdown
The 28th Annual Santa Clarita Valley Soccer Showdown welcomes you to the beautiful Santa Clarita Valley of Southern California. The regions of Area 10-S [ Region 46 Saugus, Region 677 Canyon Country, Region 678 Valencia-Newhall and Region 1441 Castaic-Val Verde ] are proud to bring you the Showdown once again.
Information about the 2020 Showdown is below. This year, all team registration and referee forms must be completed online. Only signed Blue Sombrero rosters are permitted. No handwritten rosters will be accepted. Signed applications are due by March 21, 2020, and signed Blue Sombrero player rosters are due by April 10, 2020.
AYSO Teams, Boys & Girls Divisions, 19U, 16U, 14U (11 v 11), 12U (9 v 9) and 10U (7 v 7).
16U, 19U (18 players max.), 14U (15 players max.), 12U (12 players max.) and 10U (10 players max.)
Each team will be guaranteed 3 games in pool play (60 min. for 19U, 16U & 14U, 50 min. for 12U & 10U)
All players and 2 coaches per team will receive a tournament pin. All players on first, second, third and fourth place teams receive a trophy or medal. Referees receive a tournament pin, T-shirt, flipping coin and lunch.
$575 for 14U, 16U & 19U, $550 for 12U and $525 for 10U (Fully refundable upon acceptance up to 30 days before the tournament and refundable after only if a replacement team can be found). If the tournament is canceled for any reason, the entry fee is fully refunded. Best efforts will be made to reschedule if the tournament is postponed for any reason.
$200, Refundable by Region Check within 14 days following the tournament provided all referee assignments have been completed. We give preference on tournament acceptance to teams that bring a qualified referee team.
Acceptance & T-shirt pre-order form: Within two weeks of receipt of application.
T-shirt pre-orders and team rosters: Due April 10, 2020.
Application & Blue Sombrero Roster must be signed by your Regional Commissioner! The application must also be signed by the head coach.
Schedule, final rules, and referee assignments will be mailed by April 12.
Referee Refunds: Within 14 days following the tournament.
